History of Science Society
TELLING THE STORIES OF SCIENCE
2019 Annual Meeting in Utrecht, the Netherlands

We are seeking submissions for a proposed panel on the history of psychiatry and the mind sciences for the 2019 meeting of the History of Science Society to be held in Utrecht, the Netherlands. All submissions concerned with the history of the mind sciences will be considered, but priority will be given to contributions drawing on scholarship from the history, sociology, and philosophy of science. Proposals more broadly concerned with the history of the human and/or social sciences are also encouraged. Potential themes include but are by no means limited to the history of (international) professional networks, instruments and practices of knowledge production, and the history of therapeutics. Applicants should provide an abstract (approx. 250 words) and a short statement of their research interests and affiliations by January 2nd, 2019. Less formal expressions of interest are also welcome.
