The Symposium will organize discussion tables about the following topics:

  • Personalities in memory: the 150th anniversary of the birth of Vladimir Bechterev, Alfred Binet and Karl Pearson.

  • With regard to the one hundred years of the first encounter between Freud and Jung, let’s talk about psychoanalysis.

  • Meetings: trends and psychological systems in debate.

  • A glance to our own past: History of Spanish Psychology.

  • Relationship between theory and praxis: History of applied psychology.

  • Taking a step towards reflection: epistemological, psychosocial and historiography questions for the arena.

  • History as the basis for the explanation of present psychology: studies on the development of different concepts, matters, processes, methods and areas of psychology.

Like in previous years, the works that are not adjusted to the proposed subjects will be admitted, as long as they have thematic direct related with the History of Psychology, or a clearly historical direction.

The scientific contributions are permitted to be in the form of a speech or a poster. Moreover, they will have to indicate more suitable location for their work to the discussion table consider. Nevertheless, the Organizing Committee and the Scientific Committee will definitively decide about the type of presentation and the location.
